Her condition was a result of multiple organ dysfunction, including the failure of her kidneys. It was her new normal to have hemodialyses as well as peritoneal dialysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica nearly died but was on the road towards recovery. Angelica had completed a year of dialysis and a half-year of dialysis, was now set to undergo the biggest surgery of all - the replacement of her kidney. She would receive the donated kidney from her mom. Angelica Hale, along with her mother had a kidney transplantation in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13 2013. Angelica Hale's desire to become an international star has not waned.
